Web Design
Z Tech Systems is an award-winning designer of
websites. Please have a look at our
portfolio.
The Process
Our philosophy is to first get to know you and your business. In order to get a
feel for your personal or corporate "style," we will spend some time analyzing
the various types of material (such as photographs, logos and artwork, etc.) you
wish to present to the world on your website.
Once we have analyzed all of this, we move to Phase 2, where we draft the structure
of your site. Presenting you and/or your company to the world requires some serious
organization. We prepare an outline of the site to give us an idea of the number
of pages required, and how those pages relate to each other.
Phase 3 is when we start playing with ideas for the look and feel of the site. We
will generally place design mockups in the Development area of our own website for
our clients to review. We do not approve of the "cookie-cutter" website
designs that are prevalent in the low end of the spectrum of web design companies.
When we have an approved "look," we can proceed to Phase 4, which is the
fully functional working design of the site. Our customers typically provide us
with all of the content for their website including text, photographs and artwork,
although we provide careful proofreading, organizational and grammatical assistance.
We can also provide assistance with the copy writing and photography if desired.
Once our customer gives us the final "Go Ahead," we actually publish the
site for them. We can provide a CD with the entire site on it, including all of
the artwork and photographs. And we can provide periodic updates to the website
as well.
The Tools
The tools of choice for Z Tech Systems are changing. We still sometimes use Dreamweaver for site design, regularly use
Fireworks for graphic design and editing, and every once in a while
useFlash where appropriate. But we find ourselves
using Microsoft's Visual Studio 2005 more and more.
All of our new sites use Cascading Style Sheets, as we are strong proponents of
standards-based design.
The Standards
There are three small buttons below that indicate that this website conforms to
standards for HTML 4.01 Transitional, Cascading Style Sheets Level 2, and accessibility
standards for WAI and Section 508. Click on them for further information.

The Goal
Z Tech Systems is committed to presenting you to
the world in the best way possible. We want to help you succeed, and our unique
skills will design a site that works for you!
